Illuminate Boot Camp

Audience:  K-5 grade level teachers and 6-12 content teachers

Facilitators:  Lisa Zettle, Alicia Kubacki and District Assessment Coordinators

Purpose:  The focus of this camp is to build your knowledge in Illuminate as well as your bank of assessments. This will be a great opportunity to work on creating assessments with facilitators in the room to answer questions as you work. Sessions will begin with an overview of the process and then give you time to work with a team from your district or on your own.

Dates: June 11 - 13, 2018

Time: 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

Agenda: The agenda can be viewed on the flyer.
Please click here to view the flyer.

Creating Item Bank Assessments: The session will start with an overview of Item Bank Assessments and then give you time to review questions and work on an assessment(s). Bring your assessment team and course pacing guide with you and have a good start or an assessment ready to go when you leave.

Hybrid Assessments: Already have hard copies or pdf of an assessment you would like students to take online? A hybrid assessment will allow students to read the test on their screen while selecting their answer choices online. This session will walk you through creating your answer key, linking it to standards, uploading materials and getting your assessment ready for students to take online. Bring your assessments with you, there will be time to get them ready to go for the start of school.

Understanding your Data Using Pre-built Reports: Get a deeper understanding of student learning and student needs. This session will look at Illuminate Pre-built reports and how to put them to work to assist in supporting the instructional needs of your students. It is highly encouraged to have an assessment with Student Response data previously collected, so that you may follow along and see the results and reports that will be reviewed.

Custom Reports: Want to create reports specific to your school? You can bring in data fields from many places, add color coded performance bands and take counts of data. This session will cover basic and useful tips on: where to find the data; adding columns; filters; and performance bands.

Each district is responsible for their own teacher stipends.

Event Questions: Please contact Lisa Zettle via email at zettlel@baisd.net or call (989) 667-3285 x 3338.
